The transition for high school to college can be different for everybody. Some can transition easily, and others not so much. It can be hard sometimes to adjust because you are living on your own, and you have no one telling you what to do. Some necessary changes that I think are required for you to do succeed in college are to be responsible, great time management, and staying healthy.

To be responsible is go to class on time, do your homework, and study for your test. If you start to slack off and get lazy, it will show in your grades and test scores. If you are having trouble staying determined to go to class and study for your test, I would try to remember the reason I’m going to college. And I would think about how much better my life would be and how much better of a job I could get if I got my college degree.

The next thing you need to be able to do to be successful in college, is the ability to have great time management. Having good time management means to manage all the things you have to do, so you don’t miss deadlines and due dates. It is also important so you don’t have fifty things to do in one night and there all due tomorrow. If you have great time management you will have time to do all the things you have to do and have time to relax.

The last thing I would suggest to be successful in college is to stay healthy. It is important to stay healthy so that you can stay awake in class and have the energy just to do everyday activities. Some ways you can stay healthy are by eating breakfast every day and eating the right foods. If you don’t eat the right foods you will not get all the vitamins your body needs to function. Working out is also a good way to stay healthy. Working out also makes you feel better and have more energy during the day, or you can play a sport to stay in shape.

The transition to college can be tough one if you don’t have support from family and friends. But if you are responsible, have good time management, and stay healthy, you will have a better and easier transition into college.
